The Vilja placemat is crocheted using the mosaic crochet technique. The placemat can easily be extended into a longer table runner by repeating the pattern repeat.

The pattern for the Vilja placemat was published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Pentik magazine, where Pentik's home textiles and ceramics served as inspiration.

Finished placemat measurements: Length: 42 cm (without fringes). Width: 28 cm.

Materials:

Yarn: Novita Cotton Feel (100% cotton, 120 m / 50 g)

MC: Off-white (010) 4 skeins

CC: Soot (099) 4 skeins

Crochet hook: 3 mm and 4 mm or according to your tension

Other materials: darning needle for finishing, scissors, scrap yarn for fringes

Gauge:

23 sts × 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in mosaic crochet
