Downloadable pattern: Vertical Stripe Cardigan (designer Jenna Kostet)

This loose-fitting cardigan is knitted top-down. The yarn is warm Icelandic wool.

Sleeve length: 50 (51, 52, 52, 53) (54, 54, 54) cm.

Armhole circumference: 37 (41, 44, 48, 53) (56, 59, 68) cm.

Materials:

Yarn: Istex Lettlopi (100 % Icelandic wool, 100 m / 50 g).

MC: (white 0051) 7 (8, 9, 10, 11) (12, 13, 14) skeins or 620 (780, 858, 935, 1013) (1194, 1270, 1366) meters.

CC: (ash grey 0056) 6 (7, 7, 8, 9) (10, 12, 12) skeins or 541 (611, 681, 765850) (939, 1024, 1110) meters.

Needles: 4 mm circular needles (40 cm and 80–100 cm) and 4 mm double-pointed needles for the collar, hem, and cuffs ribbing, and 4.5 mm circular needles (80–100 cm) for colorwork. Note that if you knit tightly, vertically knitted stripes may pull. Choose a larger needle size if your gauge is tight.

Other notions: Stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, darning needle for finishing, and 5 (5, 5, 6, 6) (6, 6, 6) buttons (diameter 3.5 cm).

Gauge:

18 sts × 23 rows = 10 × 10 cm in colorwork on 4.5 mm needles, after blocking.
