The bag's pattern is first tufted onto the fabric, and then the bag parts are sewn together. Choose a suitable length for the shoulder strap.

The Princess Bag pattern was published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Aarikka magazine, inspired by Aarikka's jewelry, textiles, and home decor items.

Pattern details:

Size:

One size

Finished bag measurements: Diameter approx. 20 cm

Materials:

Yarn: Wetterhoff Wanja (100% Finnish wool, 100 m / 50 g)

MC: Dark Red 1269: 1 ball or approx. 70 m

CC1: Pink 1226: 1 ball or approx. 70 m

CC2: White 1146: 1 ball or approx. 70 m

Note! Yarn consumption is affected by the length of the needle used in the work, i.e., how long the pile is tufted. The sample piece used a medium needle length.

Punch needle: Lavor 3 mm. (Punch needles 4–10 mm are also suitable.)

Other materials: Round embroidery hoop 19 cm and old linen fabric OR Zweigart Monks Cloth fine craft fabric 0.3 m

Old jeans or other suitable recycled fabric for the bag (inner lining fabric can be thinner)

35 cm zipper

1.5 m bias tape

0.5 m fusible interfacing

Soft pencil or other marking pen, latex or white glue 0.2 l, scissors, 2 D-rings

Note! For a larger punch needle, a more loosely woven Zweigart Monks Cloth punch needle fabric is also suitable. If you are tufting with a 5 mm or larger punch needle, you can tuft with double yarn. However, keep in mind that this will result in higher yarn consumption.
