Downloadable pattern: Kodit shawl (designer Tiia Reho)
The scarf is knitted in the round. Openings are made in the middle to make it easier to put on.
The pattern for the Kodit scarf was published in Rakkaat kuviot & Erik Bruun magazine, where Erik Bruun's iconic posters served as inspiration.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)
As the scarf size increases, its width and the length of the part that goes around the neck also increase. If you want a wider scarf but have a narrow neck, use the measurements of a smaller size for knitting the section before joining. The scarf is designed to fit loosely around the neck. Sample size 3.
Finished garment measurements:
Width: 12 (15, 17, 20, 23) cm
Total length when blocked: 87 (90, 93, 96, 99) cm
Length of the section before joining when blocked: 66 (68, 70, 72, 74) cm
Materials:
Yarn: Vuonue Kierrätys-Elsa (70% Finnish sheep wool, 30% recycled wool from Finland, 360 m / 100 g)
MC: Utö 1 (2, 2, 2, 2) skeins or 350 (415, 490, 565, 650) m. Note that you will need MC from three different balls (or from the inside and outside of one ball and from another ball).
CC: Naantali 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) skein or 26 (31, 36, 42, 49) m.
Needles: 3 mm 80 cm circular needles and 3 mm DPNs for 3-needle bind-off.
Other notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scrap yarn, and 3 mm crochet hook for provisional cast-on.
Gauge:
22 sts and 32 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch. 22 sts and 32 rows = 10 × 10 cm in colorwork in the round.
