Anna Johanna's Auringonkukka mittens have been published in Rakkaat kuviot & Pihlgren ja Ritola magazine, where Pihlgren and Ritola's iconic wallpaper patterns served as inspiration.

Short floats provide good protection against wind and frost and make the mittens easier to put on.

Pattern Information:

Size:

M. Finished garment measurements: Circumference at wrist of mitten 20 cm. Length of mitten from cuff to highest point of tip 26 cm.

Materials:

Yarn: Tukuwool Fingering yarn (195 m = 50 g), Yrtti 29 g, Kimo 34, Polte 4 g and Tyyni 3 g.

Needles: 2.5 mm 80 cm circular needles or DPNs. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

Other notions: 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle.

Gauge:

16 sts × 17 rounds = 5 × 5 cm in stranded knitting in the round (after blocking).
