Downloadable pattern: Lumikide Cowl (designer Minttu Wikberg)

Minttu Wikberg's Lumikide cowl has been published in Rakkaat kuviot & Pihlgren ja Ritola magazine, where the inspiration came from Pihlgren and Ritola's iconic wallpaper patterns.

Knitting requires knowledge of double knitting fair isle.

The Lumikide cowl is worked in the round using double knitting. This modern cowl can be worn either way: the colors are reversed on the other side.

Pattern Information:

Size:

One size. Finished measurements: circumference 66 cm, height 21.5 cm.

Materials:

Yarn: Pirtin kehräämö 90 x 3 worsted yarn (360 m = 100 g), 1 skein or 70 g of natural white and 1 skein or 70 g of natural black.

Needles: 3 mm circular needle (80 cm or 100 cm) or size to obtain gauge.

Other materials: tapestry needle, 1 stitch marker.

Gauge:

20 stitches (on the right side of the finished fabric) of double knitting fair isle = 10 cm.
