Needles: 3.5 mm double-pointed needles, 4 mm double-pointed needles and 4 mm 60 cm circular needles

Other materials: 5 (6) 7 buttons (approx. 2 cm diameter), 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle, 3 approx. 30 cm lengths of waste yarn or cord, sewing machine.

Gauge:

24 sts × 27 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch, 24 sts × 27 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stranded colorwork in the round.
