Downloadable pattern: Wiener Jugend socks (designer Mia Sumell)

Mia Sumell's Wiener Jugend socks have been published in Rakkaat kuviot & Pihlgren ja Ritola magazine, where the inspiration was Pihlgren and Ritola's iconic wallpaper patterns. 

The wool socks are adorned with Art Nouveau-inspired patterns. The heel flap of the socks, knitted from cuff to toe, is worked flat.

Yarn: Novita Nalle yarn (260 m = 100 g), main color ‘haave’ (519) 85 g, pattern color ‘tatti’ (663): 45 g.

Needles: 3 mm double-pointed needles, 2.5 mm double-pointed needles for ribbing.

Other materials: tapestry needle.

Gauge:

28 sts × 34 rows = 10 cm × 10 cm
