Downloadable pattern: Alba sweater (designer Heli Hottinen-Puukko)
The sweater has a loose fit and a snowball shape. The surface is formed by knit and purl stitches.
The pattern for the Alba sweater was published in the Saariston neuleet knitting magazine, which draws inspiration from the Finnish archipelago and seascapes.

Yarn: Sandnes Garn Alpakka Ull (60% alpaca, 40% wool, 100 m = 50 g), color white (1002): 10 (11, 11, 12, 14) (14, 15, 16, 17) skeins or 1000 (1050, 1100, 1200, 1350) (1400, 1470, 1550, 1700) m
Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (57% kid mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool, 212 m / 25 g), color white (1012): 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) (7, 7, 8, 8) skeins or 1000 (1050, 1100, 1200, 1350) (1400, 1470, 1550, 1700) m.
Note! The sweater is knitted using these two yarns (DK and lace weight yarn) held together.
Needles: 5 mm circular needles, 40 cm long for sleeves and 80–100 cm long for the body. 3 mm circular needles for hem ribbing, 80–100 cm long. 3 mm double-pointed needles for sleeve ribbing, if not using the magic loop method.
Other notions: 1 stitch marker, 4 locking stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle.
Gauge:
18 stitches and 26 rows = 10 × 10 cm in main pattern using larger needles, after blocking.
