Downloadable pattern: Sunnuntaiaamu shirt (designer Paula Narkiniemi)

The pattern for the Sunday Morning Sweater has been published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Birger Kaipiainen magazine, which was inspired by Birger Kaipiainen's patterns and art ceramics.

The sweater is knitted top-down. First, the upper back is knitted flat. Stitches are picked up from the shoulders for the front piece, one shoulder at a time. The neckline is shaped by increasing stitches and joining the two halves of the front piece together. Once the front piece is long enough, it is joined to the back piece at the armholes, after which the body is knitted in the round. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, and the sleeves are knitted in the round. An easy colorwork pattern is knitted on the cuffs and hem before the ribbing. Stitches are picked up for the doubled neckline ribbing, which is also knitted in the round.

Needles: 5 mm and 6 mm circular needles with 40 cm and 60/80 cm cables. If necessary, 5 mm double-pointed needles.
