Mia Sumell's Panther socks have been published in Rakkaat kuviot & Pihlgren ja Ritola magazine, where the inspiration came from Pihlgren and Ritola's iconic wallpaper patterns.

The wild spots of the panther follow the wearer of the wool socks with every step. The ribbing alternates between cables and twisted rib stitch.

Yarn: Novita Venla yarn (420 m = 100 g), main colour natural white (010) 65 g, pattern colour charcoal (499) 60 g.

Needles: 2.5 mm double-pointed needles, 2 mm double-pointed needles for ribbing.

Other materials: tapestry needle.

Gauge:

31 sts × 35 rows = 10 cm × 10 cm
