Downloadable pattern: Ilona cardigan (designer Tiia Reho)

This cardigan is knitted in the round from the bottom up and steeked open at the front. The bobble buttons complete the design.

The pattern for the Ilona cardigan was published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Aarikka magazine, which was inspired by Aarikka's jewelry, textiles, and interior decor items.

Materials:

Yarn: Vuonue Manta (100% Finnish wool, 180 m / 100 g)

MC: 4 (5, 5, 6, 6) (7, 7, 8, 8) skeins

CC: 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (2, 2, 2, 2) skeins

Needles: 3.5 mm and 3.0 mm 120 cm circular needles for the yoke and for magic looping sleeves (or equivalent DPNs). 3.5 mm and 3.0 mm 80–100 cm circular needles for the body.

Other notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn/stitch holder, and thinner yarn to reinforce the steek.

Gauge:

18 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, 18 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm in stranded colorwork in the round
