Downloadable instructions: Skar beanie (designer Janita Koskinen)
The beanie is warm because the ribbing can be folded into multiple layers. The cable patterns resemble the grooves of coastal rocks. The beanie is knitted from the bottom up.
The pattern for the Skar beanie was published in Saariston neuleet knitting magazine, which was inspired by the Finnish archipelago and sea landscape.
