The long socks are knitted from the cuff to the toes. The tight ribbing is knitted with twisted stitches.

The pattern for the Kaaret socks has been published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Erik Bruun knitting magazine, inspired by Erik Bruun's iconic posters.

Measurements of finished knit:

Calf circumference unstretched: 30 cm

Leg height: 33 cm

Foot length is easy to adjust.

Materials:

Yarn: Markus Company 6-ply (75 % wool, 25 % polyamide, 125 m / 50 g)

MC: 19–4002 Black Onyx 3 skeins or 312 m

CC: 17–6153 Fern Green 2 skeins or 156 m

Needles: 3 mm DPNs for colorwork section and 2.5 mm DPNs for ribbing and heel.

Other materials: Tapestry needle.

Gauge:

27 sts and 29 rounds = 10 × 10 cm in colorwork in the round.
